BusinessOptix is pleased to announce a new YouTube channel. We have put together a range of over 90 tutorial videos that include BusinessOptix live session demos and BusinessOptix tutorials covering all topics. The YouTube channel come in conjunction with our online training.
One of the less discovered features in Web Author is the ability to drag select a number of components at once using the mouse. This is achieved by holding down the left mouse button for a short while before beginning the drag select. If the left mouse button isn't held down for long enough, Web Author assumes you are trying to drag the whole diagram or select an element rather than begin a drag select.
Some users of Web Author have reported that after pressing the 'View HTML' and 'View PDF' buttons, nothing happens. The output doesn't appear. In some cases this may not happen all the time, just occasionally. The cause of the problem was their browser's popup blocker.
We've received a few queries about spellchecking in Web Author. We are using the default spellchecking functionality provided by the user's browser. In most browsers this means incorrectly spelled words are underlined with a red squiggly line. In text fields, you can right-click and suggested corrections are provided. In description fields, right-clicking shows a context menu for the editor, rather than the browser's menu, so no suggestions are provided. However you can force the browser's menu to appear by pressing the CTRL button at the same time as right-clicking.
We've produced a document giving a brief overview of some of the new features in version 6 of BusinessOptix. You can find it here. If you'd like to upgrade your library to version 6, then contact support
